My family and I are planning on relocating to Galveston over the next few years. (currently living in DFW.) We have a small company we plan to expand in Galveston. At first our plan is to rent a home and live there part time while building our company and checking things out. Can anyone let me know things I should think of? Tips on schools, I have 2 middle school and 1 high school. They are in a great district now and I worry about switching them. To start of course I want somthing cheap, close to the beach, maybe the seawall area? Thanks in advance. I guess I should mention I am not looking for critiques about our choices. I am looking for experienced galveston natives or others to give me some advice on what to expect as far as beach living goes. Are the schools really that bad? Certain ones to stay away from, for example how r the high scvhools? Or wait till the kids are almost out of HS to move completely down there?... Read More »
